Itinerário

FULL DAY – PULULAHUA CRATER VIEWPOINT, MIDDLE OF THE WORLD MUSEUM & CASA AGAVE

Your guide picks you up around 8:30 am to head toward the northern valleys, where mild weather and open skies frame the ride. The day begins at the Pululahua Crater Viewpoint—one of the world’s few inhabited volcanic craters—offering sweeping views of patchwork farmland and ancient caldera walls. A short drive away, the Intiñan Museum sits on the true Equatorial Line, where interactive demonstrations blend Andean cosmology, cultural symbolism, and the science of latitude 0° in a fun, hands-on experience.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Casa Agave, a highland hacienda dedicated to the ancestral culture of the Andean agave. After a traditional regional lunch, explore the museum to learn about the plant’s historical, agricultural, and spiritual importance before joining an artisanal agave spirit tasting. A small ceremonial drink prepared in the Andean style closes the visit, honoring balance and gratitude. You return to Quito in the late afternoon, arriving at your hotel with a deeper appreciation for the equatorial world and its living traditions.
