Day 1: Sunbathing and swimming next to sea lions
  • Touch down in San Cristobal Island. Settle in at the cabañas we’re calling home for the next two days.
  • An unforgettable trip to beaches filled with sea lions where our local David Attenborough will be commenting on mothers nourishing their pups or males trying to lure a partner through their mating calls.
  • Afterwards, take some time to sunbathe and swim yourself at this magical place.
  • Overlook the sunset at these gorgeous white-sand beaches with your new friends before heading back to the cabañas.

Meals included: Lunch

Day 2: Snorkelling at the underwater wildlife paradise of Kicker Rock
  • In the morning, we have front-row tickets to a world-class underwater ballet at Kicker Rock – a fully immersive snorkelling experience where you’ll see everything from black and white-spotted eagle rays, to striped reef fish, to marine iguanas!
  • Snorkelling – This is not a relaxing beach snorkel experience. We’re in the open sea, with some stronger currents that can be challenging for beginner snorkelers. Feel free to let us know in advance if this is not what you’re after and we can accommodate.
  • Diving option – Kicker Rock is an exceptional underwater paradise where you’ll have the opportunity to swim with hammerhead, whitetip and blacktip sharks. However, you will need at least 5 dives experience and it will be an additional £150 per person.
  • By mid-afternoon, we’ll be back at San Cristóbal Island. Relax by the beach or have a coffee at our favourite treehouse La Casa del Ceibo.
  • The evening is all yours!

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 3: Snorkelling at Las Grietas, spotting wildlife at Franklin Bay and swimming at a secluded beach
  • An early rise at 7:00 a.m. to catch the earliest speed boat to Santa Cruz Island, where you’ll have time to explore yourself until the afternoon.
  • Later in the afternoon, dip into clear emerald waters flanked by large volcanic cliffs at Las Grietas. You will have the opportunity to see and swim with a variety of fish like parrotfish and eels.
  • Afterwards, sail along Franklin Bay, spotting sea turtles, pelicans, golden and eagle rays, then hop off at the secluded little beach called Playa de Los Perros.
  • Enjoy Galapagos’ “metropolis”, Santa Cruz has an abundance of outdoor eating spots and bustling bars, all the while maintaining that relaxed, small island town vibe.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 4: Giant tortoises, flamingos and relaxing at a white-sand beach
  • The evolution of species is our central theme this morning. We meet our personal heroes at the Charles Darwin Research Center, who are dedicated to education and the protection of native animals and ecosystems. Here, you will be able to admire the newborn tortoises coming from the breeding programs.
  • Later on in the afternoon, we’re travelling to Isabela Island by speedboat. You will be strolling along the white sand beach before you explore the charming fishing village.
  • Later we will head to the unique Flamingo Lagoon.
  • We’re staying at a simple but comfortable hotel, run by descendants of the founding father of the little port town of Puerto Villamil. However, you’re free to spend your first evening in Isabela if you prefer.

Meals included: Lunch

Day 5: World class snorkelling in Los Tuneles
  • In the morning, explore the sandy streets of the small town of Villamil or stroll along the tropical beach.
  • Then, by mid-morning, we’ll be heading to the iconic Los Túneles Cabo Rosa, one of the world’s most breathtaking snorkelling spots.
  • Later, head back to Isabella after interacting with sea turtles, Galapagos Penguins, manta rays, seahorses and if we’re lucky, dolphins will make an appearance.
The night is yours, but we think this might just be the perfect evening to watch the sunset at Concha de Perla Beach.

Meals included: Breakfast, snack, and lunch

Day 6: Tropical wetlands of Isabela, swimming and snorkelling with wildlife at Tintorera
  • In the morning we’re exploring Isabela’s lagoons, swamps and tropical mangrove, where we will see an array of flamingos and other native birds that can only be found here.  Here, you will also see how baby tortoises are nurtured in giant tortoises at the Breeding Center.
  • Afterwards, we will walk by the Wall of Tears –  a structure made by prisoners out of heavy lava rocks.
  • We’ll have a little rest after this morning’s hike, before hopping aboard a small fisherman boat for a 10-minute ride to the Tintoreras Islets where you’ll see white-tipped sharks and iguanas nesting.
  • Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the hidden beaches of the islets.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 7: Kayak with wildlife and exploring Isabela Island
  • Mid-morning, we’ll take a kayak through the bay to a special place that we love to think of as the Galapagos nursery for marine bambinos.
  • We’ll tie up our kayaks and glide into the water to snorkel with baby iguanas, sea lions, turtles and penguins.
  • In the afternoon, we’ll hike across the south of the Isabela island and through underground lava tunnels called La Cueva de Sucre.
  • We will then head to enjoy a panoramic view overlooking the vibrant highlands, and active volcanoes at the Mango viewpoint.
  • On our way back, we’ll swing by our friends at Campo Duro to take one last look at those peculiar looking giant tortoises.:
  • This last evening is yours to do as you please. We suggest dining at your favourite spot and watch one more time the sunset at Concha Perla Beach
Day 8: Twin craters and adios Galapagos
  • We’ll take you to Baltra Airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador. On our way, we’re checking out two old magma chambers that collapsed hundreds of years ago, now nicknamed the Twin Craters by the locals.
