Itinerary

Day 1: Quilotoa crater
  • After an early rise, your guide will pick you up to start driving towards the valley of volcanoes of Ecuador. Keep your eyes open during this ride, as on a clear day you can enjoy the view of about 5 snow-peaked volcanoes. You will also be going through the scenic secondary route passing several indigenous towns & farmlands. Our first stop will be at Toachi canyon, where you will learn more about the ecosystem of this area. Upon arrival at the Quilotoa crater lagoon, you can decide if you wanna walk part of the green emerald lagoon rim or you prefer to go down to the Quilotoa lagoon shore.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a delicious Andean lunch and then rest for a bit after the hike or go explore a bit more around the rim of the Quilotoa crater. After this, you will embark on your journey back to Quito, with great picture opportunities of the volcanoes on a clear afternoon.
