Flexible Group Trip You’ll enjoy a combination of private excursions and group day trips, joining a flexible group of travellers or by yourselves depending on the season. Groups are usually around 8-15 people max.
Departure & Return The trip starts at San Cristobal Airport (SCY) and ends at Baltra Airport (GPS). To adhere to this itinerary, you need to book a flight arriving before 11:00 AM and a flight back after 12:00 PM. But don’t worry, if your flight arrives any later or leaves earlier, we’ll make some changes to match the itinerary with your flights.

Itinerary

Day 1: Flamingos and white-sand beaches
  • Upon your arrival in Baltra Island, we’ll take you straight to the small port town of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island.
  • Delight yourself with the delicious and fresh cuisine Galapagos has to offer with your first lunch.

Day 2: World class snorkelling in Los Tuneles
  • In the morning, explore the sandy streets of the small town of Villamil or stroll along the tropical beach. 
  • By mid-morning we’re heading to the iconic Los Túneles Cabo Rosa, one of the world’s most beautiful snorkelling spots.
  • You will get to see here the unique variety of marine wildlife like sea turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, and if we are lucky, dolphins and killer whales!
  • Later we will head back to Isabela where you will be able to spend the evening exploring and doing whatever you like.

Meals included: Breakfast, snack and lunch.

Day 3: Kayak with wildlife and exploring Isabela
  • By mid-morning, kayak through the bay to a special place where you’ll be able to glide in the water to snorkel around baby iguanas, baby sea lions, baby penguins and baby turtles.
  • Later on, we will set off on an exploration trip to witness the treasures around South Isabela by:
    • Walking through underground lava tunnels of La Cueva de Sucre.
    • Witnessing the amazing views from the highlands at the Mango viewpoint.
    • And, swing by our friends at Campo Duro to have a last look at those peculiar looking giant tortoises.

Day 4: Tropical wetlands of Isabela , swimming and snorkelling with wild Galapagos' wildlife at Tintoreras
  • This morning, we’re exploring its antipode: the lagoons, swamps and tropical mangroves of the wetlands. An array of flamingoes and endemic birds only reside in this particular place.
  • Then we will see how baby tortoises are nurtured in a Giant Tortoises Breeding Center until they are large enough to be released into the wild.
  • We will take a little break before hopping aboard a small fisherman boat for a 10-minute ride to the Tintoreras Islets where we will jump in the waters for some snorkelling.

Day 5: Ancient lava tunnels and giant tortoises at Santa Cruz
  • It’s an early rise today to catch the morning speedboat (06:00 AM) to Santa Cruz Island.
  • After an energizing breakfast, we’ll descend into an ancient lava cave formed by the outer layer of lava flows, which became solidified while the inner stream of magma kept moving.
  • From the afternoon we’ll be dedicating the rest of the day to the Galapagos’s most emblematic inhabitants: the giant tortoises. We’ll learn all about them at the Charles Darwin Research Center, after seeing them in their natural habitat.
  • We’ll have a little rest after this morning’s hike, before hopping aboard a small fisherman boat for a 10-minute ride to the Tintoreras Islets where you’ll see white-tipped sharks and iguanas nesting.
  • Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the hidden beaches of the islets.

Day 6: Exploring the remote island of Santa Fé, snorkelling at the hidden beach
  • We’ll head to the oldest isle in Galapagos, Santa Fé, that with over 4 million years old continues to be unpopulated.
  • This amazing experience will allow you to walk on the arid red and orange isle, with varied vegetation of the same colours and tall cacti surrounding you.
  • Here, we’ll also have the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions, rays, turtles, iguanas, to mention a few.
  • We will then sail across islands to the beautiful Playa Escondida (hidden beach). A white-sand beach with turquoise waters where you will be able to enjoy as you would like, but most importantly, appreciate the wildlife that is all around you!

Day 7: Twin craters and adios Galapagos
  • We’ll take you to the airport at Baltra Island for your flight back to Ecuador. But first, we will go by two old magma chambers that collapsed hundreds of years ago, now nicknamed the Twin Craters by the locals.
